6! Dynamic Compositions is a digital music toy with contextual audio visualisations.
The player has control over six instruments that will play loops once they are activated.
Depending on the order in which the player activates the instruments, the entire composition changes. The later an instrument is picked, the higher the intensity of its loop. With the power of combinatorics, this results in 720 or, mathematically speaking, 6! possible compositions.
Each instrument is represented visually by contextually relevant components of an animated painting. This art book will give you an insight on one set of musical loops and their accompanying painting.
